If you read my posts, you know that I am a huge fan of over the knee boots. I know that they can look tacky if worn a certain way, but I think they can be incredibly sexy and stylish if worn correctly. However, most over-the-knee boots look the same: they’re usually black leather with very little detail. That’s why when I saw these purple Steve Madden “Calgarry” boots, I instantly fell head over heels (pun intended)!
I was very uneasy when the clog trend started up again, but now I am fully for it. But because this is definitely a fad, I think it is unnecessary to shell out $1000 for a pair of designer (i.e. Chanel) clogs. Many inexpensive designers have been coming out with their editions of the clog, but I find a lot of them cheap looking. However, these Steve Madden “Warrick” wooden wedges hit the mark for me.
Sadly, I have another Hall of Shame to share with you. Christian Louboutin’s “Fifre 120″ Bootie was one of my favorite shoes from Fall/Winter 2009/10, and I was very disappointed to see that Steve Madden had made a knock-off of it.
I really love the trend of leather and elastic together this season. However, it is incredibly difficult to find a pair that is trendy, well made, and still affordable. However, Steve Madden’s Genious Elasticated Strap Platform Peeptoe has definitely accomplished all that an inexpensive, trendy shoe is supposed to by blending together sexy elements and creating a beautiful shoe that looks like it cost a fortune. A bonus for the shoe is since they’re made with elastic, they’re definitely incredibly comfortable as well. Read the rest of this entry »
