TheShoeGoddess is turning a year old this month! I never imagined what a fantastic journey I was about to embark on when I first started selling my shoes on E-bay to raise money to support APCH, my favorite charity.
After receiving a lot of e-mails from e-buyers, asking for shoe advice, I decided to create TheShoeGoddess, a small blog for shoe lovers. What started as a fun little shoe lover site has grown beyond my expectations.
I couldn't handle it alone anymore, and this is when Randy came aboard (TheShoeGoddess' fabulous web designer), followed by Hilary, And recently a new contributor from New York, Gallit, has joined the blog and will contirbute regularly.
Our commitment to our dear readers is to improve our site, bring new features, interesting designer interviews, as well as introduce talented new designers. Stay tuned!
As I look forward to many more years of blogging and sharing my passion for shoes, thank you all for your continuous support.
Here's a little treat for you all as we get closer to Valentines' day -- a glimpse into "the pink department" of my shoe collection.

We wish TheShoeGoddess a speedy recovery today as she checks in to the hospital for a minor surgery. We are certain this non-invasive procedure will have her back on her feet fast. But until then, we'll be sending our positive thoughts her way! Stay tuned for a post-surgery follow-up from Florence as soon as she feels up to it. We're betting it will be sooner rather than later.
As many of you have read on theshoegoddess.net, my life is dedicated to improving kid's lives and especially kids from Los Angeles inner-city.
I have been a volunteer for years at a fabulous after school program that not only provides a safe haven for many children but also enables them to learn and enjoy many activities such as music, dance, creative expression, yoga, computer literacy and many more. But First and foremost it shields these children from the dangers of gang violence and drugs.
A few months ago I was able to create a cooking program that I teach every Tuesday. The response has been incredible; it started with six kids signed up to 15 and counting.
My hope is to find advertisers through this blog which will hopefully provide me with the means to create many more programs. I would like to redo the whole kitchen and provide scholarship for the less fortunate.
A place called home
Although it has nothing to do with shoes, I wanted to share with you, some of the pictures. taken during the cooking classes.

Since I have started this blog, I haven't had a chance to introduce myself. My name is Florence, I am a wife and a mother of three, my oldest kid is 21 years old and graduating this coming Thursday from CU Boulder in Colorado, my two other kids are girls 15 and 12 years old.
Although I was born in the south of France, I can't deny a very strong Latin influence in my upbringing, I live in Los Angeles California, along with my daughters, husband and  Maltese doggy Lolita.
My ambition:
My long lasting love for shoes made me create this blog, but also a long time dream who is becoming slowly by slowly a reality, being able to provide scholarships for under privilege people, because I believe that only through  education people will find the meaning of peace. I am very proud to say that over the last couple of months, I was able to purchase a few computers for kids and to give  a husband and father of two, the opportunity to go back to school and finish his education as a medical student.
Through this blog, I hope to bring fun and good fashion tips, but first and foremost I hope to get enough people to look at my articles, leave comments, and sign up for the feeds. And if so eventually this blog will start drawing enough attention for some company to be willing to advertise through my page allowing me to pursue my dream of providing education for all.
This is my commitment to you my shoe lovers sisters.
I have to thanks my fabulous friend Tina bagsnob for her continuous support and her so useful advices.
I have to thanks also the readers who have signed up for the blog, it means the world to me.
