Since its launch in August 2003 Satine Boutique has been one of the trendiest fashion stores in Los Angeles. Owner Jeannie Lee and her team are focus on serving their customers with unique and classic choices. Interpreting trends from the streets all across the globe, it is inspired by Japan, Paris, Australia, New York and Los Angeles. An international perspective combined with the carefree, whimsical freedom of LA fashion has turned Satine Boutique into a powerhouse.

This morning I was lucky enough to be invited by Danielle to a private viewing of some extraordinary items exclusive to Satine. I was so excited because I have been obsessed with everything from Azzedine Alaia since I came back from Paris.

I was so excited to find a pair of Alaia shoes that were sold out while in Paris and that I couldn't find anywhere, I also fell in love with those exclusive Balenciaga mirror stuff nose heel shoes that were only seen on the runway.

Have you ever come across a pair of shoes that feel so right that you wish you could buy ten pair of them? Well, it happened to me while in Paris last week. As I was trying on a different pair of shoes, at the Azzedine Alaia store, I suddenly saw them--it was love at first sight!

Although they are a size too small (because they were the only pair left) I wear them all the time and believe it or not, they are super comfortable and so hot!!! I have gotten so many compliments.

I love the mix of the snake skin heel and leather. The square toe adds a very edgy feel to these out-of-this world shoes.

Azzedine-Alaia-full-skirted-dress-2812-29-browns.jpgAs I wrote earlier, my first shopping stop was the Azzedine Aalaia store Rur de Moussy in Paris. Although I adored everything in the store, my heart almost dropped when I saw these booties. They are sexy and chic with that edgy twist that I really like. The mix of leather and snakeskin adds a very couture look to those fab shoes.

However, they were sold out in my size, 7. I still managed to squeeze my foot into a size 6 and fortunately they fit and are super comfy!

I have already wore these booties twice with a simple black dress, like this fabulous Alaia Full Skirted Dress.

Although, I was totally jet lagged and freezing, I still managed to get to the Azzedine Alaia store. It is located on rue de Moussy in the Marais neighborhood. And it too forever to get there due to awful traffic. But the trip was worth the "pain." I can't even tell you how fabulous the collection is. I ended up getting a dress, a belt, a skirt and a pair of shoes.

Some of you must have wondered what happened to me. I have been MIA unfortunately because of a death in my family, and I had to Paris to be with my mother.

Although it was a sad time, my family is what I will call "free spirited," and our way to deal with death is not quite as sad as it is for many people.

So since I am in Paris for another few days, I went on a shopping spree (my way to celebrate life!!). First and unavoidable was Azzedine Alaia in the heart of the Marais. Follow me....

PS: Don't pay too much attention to my look--I was jet lagged, and yes, I have a pink strand in my hair.

Desirable: Azzedine Alaia Short Lizard Boots

As some of you already know I am totally obesessed with Alaia lately, and, of course, these boots are no exception! I love their sleek, yet sexy look. They will be easy to pair with everything and will be fashionable forever (And for that kind of price, they should be, right!!)

When I saw these booties, I thought that they looked very Louboutinesque, as in the Orniron. The ruched detailing of the upper is well executed, and for the most vegan among us, they are made from synthetic leather. The good news is that you can rock these babies for only $73!

Repulsive: Tory Burch Leigh Croc Embossed Bootie

I am very neutral in my opinion when it comes to Tory Burch shoes. Everyone I know that owns a pair, praise their comfort and the fact that they are good basics. But these boots are absolutely hideous. They are way too shiny, and the scales are way too large adding a cheap look to these boots.

Lately, I have been totally obsessed with anything from Alaia. My husband was in Paris last week, and I begged him to stop by the Azzedine Alaia store and get me whatever he wanted.

I was totally ecstatic when he handed me a bag filled with his purchase! I got a fabulous patent belt and a super sexy dress.

Today as I was browsing the web in search of more Alaia, I came across these boots, which match my belt. I just love them. They are sexy, yet elegant and timeless--timeless like everything Azzedine Alaia creates. Ten years from now, these boots will still be hot and trendy.

I will pair them with pencil skirts or jersey dresses.

I usually adore everything from Azzedine Alaia, but I am not sure about these shoes! Although they are extremely eccentric in a good way, I am torn because I like their shape and the sculpted wedge heel, but I don't like the pony skin too much. They would have been amazing in a plain color. However, I do know some gals out there, who could pull off these shoes in a second.

Desirable: Azzedine Alaia Crocodile Pumps

Since the 80s, Azzedine Alaia has been a symbol of pure elegance. His dresses are masterpieces that flatter women's figures to perfection.

His shoes are extraordinary as well, and these crocodile pumps are no exception. They are chic, sleek and timeless. They can be paired with anything.

Affordable: Sergio Rossi Adriana Round-Toe Pump

Lately it seems like Sergio Rossi is making a comeback into the spotlight, and the shoes are looking good. I like this simple pair of suede pumps enhanced by the patent platform.

Repulsive: FitFlop Aurelia Gladiator Sandal

You can talk about the benefit our legs are getting from wearing these hideous shoes all day but, I would rather be dead than caught wearing these monstrosities.

These are a delight. How delicate and beautiful for such a funky shoe. Ahhh I could do so much with these, but as far as Alaia goes, they are always going to be a little bit pricey.  Good thing the designs are so amazing, otherwise I wouldn't stand for it ;-)
