I was browsing Shopbop.com when I spotted these Barbara Bui sandals. They are a nice color, and I really like the wooden heel, but what stands out is how similar they are to one of my favorites: the Yves Saint Laurent Tribute Sandal. The Barbara Bui sandals are cheaper, and if they were only a few hundred dollars, I would think they were a great deal. But to me, there is no comparison to the Tribute sandal. Visually I prefer the YSL. The white stitching on the Barbara Bui is less polished looking, and I don’t care for the way the straps come together. The YSL just looks sleeker and more expensive. And for only $75 more, the YSL are a much better choice!

I think I would rather shell out the extra $75 for the YSLs.
Looking at the two sandals. the Barbara's look cheap compared to the fabulous YSLs. not a brand ho here, just calling it like I see it.
That's what I think! I am not devoted to any brand, and will buy shoes all across the price spectrum, but some shoes are just so fabulous, you must buy the real thing! :)
