I have to admit that the Bottega Veneta fall shoe collection is a tiny bit disappointing. There is not one pair of shoes in the collection that I would buy--which is extremely unusual--and not a good sign.
However, these eclipse wedges are interesting. They kind of remind me of my grandmother's rubber sole loafers, but at the same time, they have a very Vivienne Westwood feel to them that I like.
I think they will look good with pencil skirts and a belted jacket or with pleated skirts.

These are such a microcosm of the Bottega aesthetic. They could be worn by a funky 20 year old or a cool 60 year old.

I think these are hideous.
I would agree with you firewood, however I really believe that they could be worn in quite a number of chic ways with a little bit of imagination.
using my imagination, i would say that these have the potential to be very cute. but i would have to see them on. i have a very high arch, so i am thinking that even with the right outfit, they would look kinda weird. bummer.
I agree there so many fabulous shoes out there, why spend money on those!!
