OK, I’m in love with a purple shoe again! I know, I know…not a huge shock here! But really these Charles David purple snake sandals are so hot! They are also available in a black snakeskin and a camel snakeskin with a wooden heel. But the purple is by far my favorite. These sandals are versatile as well. You can wear them with jeans, skirts or dresses year-round. For the fall, they would look great with skirts and black tights or leggings and a tunic top.

As much as I adore Christian Louboutin, these shoes make no sense to me! They are hideous! Ewww!! They remind me of stripper shoes gone bad after a long stay in a bordello in Tijuana!

I have to show you guys this sexy sandal in both yellow and black because I love them both for different reasons. To me, the shoe in yellow leather and a wooden heel and platform is going to be slightly more casual than the black. This is such a gorgeous shade of yellow that it will work with any skin tone, even for girls like me that normally can’t wear yellow. I also love the delicate, braided and rhinestone-adorned straps across the vamp and heel panel. I would wear the yellow version with a pretty sundress in the spring and summer.

 I love wedges for Spring/Summer. For me it marks the coming of warm weather.  I like how simple yet fashionable these Charles David wedges are. They are so neutral you could really wear them with so much.  Think of all the possibilities...

 I have to say these are awfully sexy.  The electric blue is eye catching and the strappy sandal thing is always a plus. I would do these with a black slinky number.

Ooo I am really digging these. I love anything with an elastic front (like Marni) because it increases comfort tenfold...not to mention the croc embossed leather is so chic.  I would do these with a suit or a cream dress or even jeans.

10/18/07 through 10/20/07 – 1st Annual Warehouse Sale in Culver City, California.  Come
out and shop till you drop at the 1st Annual Charles David Warehouse Sale. All shoes are
discounted up to 80%.  Cash, Visa, MC and AMEX are gladly accepted.  Sorry NO
CHECKS.  Hours of operation are 9 am to 6pm Thursday and Friday and 9am to 5pm on
Saturday.  Sale is located at 5731 Buckingham Parkway, Culver City, California 90230 in

11/8/07 – Charles David boutique in San Francisco is celebrating their new look with a
cocktail party with InStyle Magazine.  20% will be taken off all purchases throughout the
evening with a raffle prize given away during the night.  Complimentary champagne and
hors’ devourers will be served.   All customers will take home a special gift.

Throughout last week, the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas hosted the WSA (world shoe association) show. This is a major event for professionals within the shoe industry as well as for shoe lover like me.
Therefore, I went down there to see what kind of shoes we would be wearing next spring.
All next week I will be reporting on the newest trend styles and colors. However let's already take a quick pick into the Charles David collection, as you can see Patent leather remain very strong.

This is a pair of patent leather Mary-Jane that I really loved, from Charles David's 2008 spring collection,they are fabulous I love the metallic patent leather and the last of the shoe. I bet they are comfortable !!

Thursday night I was invited to the re-opening of the Charles David store in Century City to celebrate the company's 20th anniversary.

Charles David is a family owned company. Charles, the patriarch, has been a veteran in the shoe industry. In his early age while living in Paris, Charles started working for Bata. At Bata, the largest shoe retailer in France, Charles worked as a successful buyer and retail director. This is around the time when he started to develop his passion for shoes.

In 1987, Charles opened his first Charles David freestanding boutique in Los Angeles off the trendy Melrose Ave. Immediately, success followed as the beautiful designs ensured the company a loyal clientele.

Soon Nathalie, Charles youngest daughter, joined the creative design team and became the creative force behind the style. She introduced a controversial advertising campaign and positioned Charles David on the map as brand contender. In 1988 and 1989 the family business expanded when Alain Charles' son and Joelle, his eldest daughter, joined the company.

With stores nationwide and corners in the most renowned department stores across the nation, Charles David has become a household name in the luxury shoe industry.

These are my favorite. They are also from the 20 anniversary collection. The metallic ankle strap sandals with leather flower embellishment make them so sexy and feminine. They look even better on the foot.

In 2002, Charles bought and launched Charles David collection. This brought their customers a more affordable line of shoes. Charles by Charles David at Nordstrom

Then in 2003, an additional division of Charles David was born, Exchange by Charles David. The line was priced affordably with disposable income in mind. : Solestruck exchange by Charles David

Finally in 2007, Charles David celebrated his 20th anniversary with the opening of the 28th store in Atlantic City!
