When I first came across the Dior Fall 2008 collection, it was love at first sight, especially with the pink sling back pump. As soon as they came up for pre-order, I bought them. But yesterday as I went to check on the Neiman Marcus shoe collection, I found this pump in a fabulous aqua color. Of course, I couldn't resist!! Suddenly, I was overwhelmed by the vision of fabulous gray, black and brown outfits dancing in front of my eyes fabulously complimented by these amazing shoes.
Wouldn't they look magnificent with simple skirts, dresses or jeans? I thought so too and bought them.

These scream Dior to me (Florence has a pair of white platforms from Dior Runway that have the same characteristics.) So chic and inventive, I would pair these with a cocktail dress for sure, especially in a pop color like kelly green.

Paris Fashion Week is in full bloom, and so far we have seen some pretty shoes, but nothing compares to John Galliano's designs as usual. For Spring 2009, the shoes are heeled on a woman's body, maybe a tribute to the flying lady, the famous mascot (hood ornament) of a Rolls Royce, or to the Chrysalide fairy figurine from Lalique?
I would like to think that it is a tribute to women's beauty and grace. Hopefully these amazing shoes will make it to the store! For now the mystery remains...

When I came across these shoes, I thought they were Lanvin. The truth is they look almost as good as the Lanvin (in the picture anyway) for not even half the price. So for those longing for the Lanvin (who doesn't?) without wanting to drop big bucks, these are the perfect alternative!

Repulsive: Vince Camuto Calder Boots
Oh boy, these boots are ugly! I wonder what went through Rachel Zoe's mind when she selected these hideous boots as her best pick? Seriously these boots scream cheap quality to me. The shiny material, the laces, the strap, the buckle! My advice to Vince Camuto's team: if you have to knock off shoes at least do one at the time, so you don't end up with those kind of monstrosities.

I loved these shoes on the runway and was anxiously waiting to see them hit the stores, and here they are! I like the suede material (pink of course!), and the square toe and the white inset in the heel. Tres Paris, tres chic, tres Dior!!
