A Dream Shoe

For months I have been contemplating one of the most beautiful shoe collections ever made, the Christian Dior ready to wear fall 2007 collection. Although I doubt these shoes will ever make it to the stores, I still love them and I think they should be looked at as piece of art.

Thanks to my friend the famous Carine Roitfeld style.com (fashion editor of the French Vogue), I was able to get my hand on a pair of these dream shoes, of course they are not my size, since they are a prototype, and unfortunately I will never be able to wear them, I  still wanted to share with you their beauty.

What a craft to make each individual strand into this woven masterpiece.

Look at the banana heel and how the  two different textures come together to perfection.  This is just amazing .

The snakeskin is abolutely perfect.

And what about the hidden platform? I have to congratulate the designer and the hard working team behind these shoes, their work is fantastic and so precise.
