I'm one for sandals; I'm one for sequins, not necessarily together. Don't get me wrong, they are darling, shiny and extremely tempting... but I feel like I would most certainly crush all the sequins while partying and be left with a crunchy unwearable mess. These shoes would be better off in a glass display case, where they would be protected from, well, me for one! But if you happen to be uber careful with your shoes (which is not very fun if you ask me... who wants to be out at an event or a dinner worrying about the safety of their footwear?!) I say, go for it.
Christian Louboutin Sequined Sandal $895.00 Bergdorf

This is getting to be a big problem with expensive footwear nowadays, they end up being so detailed and intricate that the idea of wearing them without losing those details can give you a heart attack. Even if you had all the money in the world, if you're a real shoe lover I don't think you could bear to wear these on account of the possibility that they will be wrecked after one wear.
Exactly. You hit the nail on the head. Shoes are for feet and they carry us through our soirees and parties and dinners and events. There is nothing like a busted shoe to ruin an evening so why risk it? It is a trend I'm noticing more and more and I suppose that's why Christian put these shoes in his "fashion" collection as opposed to his "classic" collection (if by "fashion" he meant unwearable and by "classic" he meant actual footwear.)
Warm Regards,
Hilary
I have a question about Christian's sequined shoe's is it just these sandals that would be ruined after one night? or is it all of the sequined shoes?
Oh well I think the Christian Louboutin shoes will last more than a night, at least I will hope so.
My niece and Galit got these shoes. I am going to investigate and let you know.

Thats another point I was thinking, these are Louboutin's after all, they're supposed to be made extremely well. I also have a feeling that if you did buy these from one of their boutique's and they did fall apart after a night or two that they should replace them, or at least fix them. and if these shoe's sequins do fall off after only a little bit of wear and tear then that not only reflects badly on the quality of these very expensive shoes, but also is such ashame to have such beautiful craftsmanship to fall apart. We're looking forward to hearing back from you investigations Florence.
Well here in the US departement stores will give you a full refund for anything you return, so it's pretty good.
However since the sequins are not hanging they should hold really well to the shoes, so it should be no problem.
Christian Louboutin's shoes are very high end, I try them on at Barneys and the pailettes were very small and beautifully put together.
I won't worry at all about losing them.
