Derek Lam is getting cuter and cuter as seasons pass. This particular sandal unfortunately looks kind of uncomfortable due to that higher than high wedge and absolutely no upper support. This is the type of shoe that you have to ask yourself before you slip it on, "is it worth the pain?" You decide.

Red shoes have always been a favorite and staple for many women, but I love when designers get creative with the shape. These are velvety and futuristic yet very wearable. I am a little concerned with the comfort level however, because that is one steep arch. I would do these with a beautiful pale yellow dress.

How adorable. Sandals are obviously an integral part of Spring/Summer, but it's fun to make bold statements with staple items. I love how these tie at the ankle, very Greek or Roman and very sexy. Femininity at its best.

I always wonder why the fabulous shoes we see on the runways never make it to the stores. These shoes are all over the magazines, blasted in every single glossy page getting us all excited with the promise of owning these long sought after fabulous shoes, but what a disappointement! When the time comes to get them, they suddenly go MIA. Instead the fabulous are replaced by ridiculous, wannabe runway inspired shoes.
So I was very happy when I found these Derek Lam Yvette buckle sandals. They are exactly as they were shown on the runway.
I love the buckles and the straps. They add a trendiness without weighing down the overall look of the shoe.
