Simple, chic ballet flats with a little heel= extra support and style. Sometimes ballet flats can appear comfortable, even be comfortable at first and then morph into these shapeless, unsupportive messes. These appear to have just the right amount of shape to keep you walking comfortably. Love the red (it's everywhere!!) and the bow detail is femme, not girly. I would pair these with anything you'd pair flats with (which leaves your options wide open...) skinny jeans, leggings, skirts, dresses etc...
Fendi Ballerina Mix Raso $565 Fendi Stores Worldwide
I know that I am kind of repeating myself a lot here, but if there was only one word to describe the Fendi fall shoe collection it would be "magnifico!"
I am completely in love with these gorgeous sandals. They are just simply elegant and sexy. I also like the fact that they will be timeless and will be easy to pair with a lot of outfits.
These shoes will look amaing with pencil skirts and just a plain white shirt and cardigan or a cashmere top. But they also can totally be dressed down with a pair of opaque tights and a mini dress.
Fendi Suede and Leather Sandal $770 Fendi (These sandals are part of the Fall 2008/09 line and should be in Fendi stores nationwide very soon.)

I am truly impressed by Fendi's fall collection. So far, no flaws! All the shoes are sexy, yet elegant. These peep-toe strap sandals are a must-have for fall.
I love the warm, ruby red color and the mix of suede and leather. The pleated (slightly) detail adds so much cache to these super hot shoes.
I will pair them with grey, black, brown and dark green.
Fendi Peep-Toe Strap $655 BergdorfGoodman

This fall, bows are making a huge comeback. They are truly a key trend. I love these shoes. They are elegant, although very classic. The peep-toe adds a trendy feel to these timeless shoes, and they will make the perfect evening choice. I really like the mix of sleek black satin enhanced by the warmth of the velvet bow.
Fendi Velvet Bow Pump $655 Net-a-Porter

These shoes look fabulous paired with this Fendi black architectural knit dress $990 at BergdorfGoodman.

Normally, I would not be drawn to a suede shoe with gold embellishments. In fact, I’d probably be running the other way. But something about these shoes is just screaming my name! I saw them on a model, and I couldn’t click through to find them on the site fast enough!

I’m not sure what it is with the resurgence of jelly shoes, but all the designers seem to be giving it a try. Maybe they realized how popular Crocs are and decided to try to design more chic-looking versions? I just don't know! I will admit that I thought the Marc Jacobs’ rubber ballet flats that Hilary reviewed were pretty cute, but I thought they were overpriced for jelly shoes. And I feel the same way about these Fendi ballet flats. I think they would be cute in leather, but I don't like the smoke (clear) color. $175 (although cheaper than most shoes we review) is a lot of money to spend on a passing trend. If you absolutely can't live without jellies, I’d try a much cheaper version. J. Crew has some for $45, and even better, Target has some for $9.99. Trust me…you’ll hate yourself next year when the trend is over, and you wonder why you spent $175 on jelly shoes, especially these!
Fendi Jelly Ballet Flats $175 Barney’s

On my recent trip to Aspen visiting 'The Rents' I couldn't help but make my rounds in the ultra luxe shops. Yes, they have the same stores as any other major city (Gucci, Fendi, Dior, Burberry, Louis Vuitton to name a few) but what I find year after year is that the stores are as over the top as the crazy tourists that shop in them.
A few of the stores were kind enough to let me take a few shots, so here's what I found.
Prada Vernice Velluto $750.00- Saks
Yes, we've seen this Prada style before, but what's crazy is no one in aspen would actually sport these. They are strictly geared towards the hordes of turistas passing through town during ski season. Aspen style is elegant and laid back (think luxurious cowboy.) Obviously, I love these shoes. They are a work of art... but they have a time and a place. And it's not Winter on the cobblestone streets of Aspen, Colorado.

So, I couldn't even find these Fendi's on their website, they are a mystery to me, but they are ultra chic. Again, geared towards eager-to-spend tourists in Aspen, but beautiful nonetheless. These are definitely resort wear.
Fendi Spring 2008
Moral of the story here? Although the shops in Aspen are over the top, if you are actually planning a trip to Aspen, pack like me: cowboy boots, fur boots, snowboard boots :-) Believe me, laid back chic get's you a lot further and attracts much fewer gawking faces.
Now, a few months ago, I thought a certain pair of Manolo's to be the "modern day Cinderella slipper." Can I recant? Because THESE are truly fit for a princess (even if she did sweep the cinders from the fireplace in a former life.) Can't you see these with a ball gown or (fast forward a few hundred years) on the red carpet? I have a black tie coming up that these would be perfect for (and I don't usually do leather for black tie, but in this case I will make an exception!)
Fendi Distressed Metallic Sandal $520.00- Bergdorf
These are the "school marm" version of the Espadrille. Ick to say the least. The color, the last? Fendi is supposed to be edgy and fresh, not doughty. I'd pair these with some bi-focals and maybe some knitting needles.
Fendi raffia wedge $610.00
Love these. For a lunch or a stroll along the beach, what better shoe than a basket woven flat? These look breathable and comfy, perfect for warmer weather. I would pair these with a delicate sundress or some black pedal pusher leggings.
Fendi Peep Toe Skimmer $405- Barneys
