I’m not sure what it is with the resurgence of jelly shoes, but all the designers seem to be giving it a try. Maybe they realized how popular Crocs are and decided to try to design more chic-looking versions? I just don't know! I will admit that I thought the Marc Jacobs’ rubber ballet flats that Hilary reviewed were pretty cute, but I thought they were overpriced for jelly shoes. And I feel the same way about these Fendi ballet flats. I think they would be cute in leather, but I don't like the smoke (clear) color. $175 (although cheaper than most shoes we review) is a lot of money to spend on a passing trend. If you absolutely can't live without jellies, I’d try a much cheaper version. J. Crew has some for $45, and even better, Target has some for $9.99. Trust me…you’ll hate yourself next year when the trend is over, and you wonder why you spent $175 on jelly shoes, especially these!

So true....I appreciate you suggesting cheaper options. Spending $175 on jelly shoes should be a crime.
