Monday is our regular meeting day here at the shoegoddess. But this week, our Monday was anything but regular. I am proud to say we are among the elite few that have had the privilege to take a glimpse at new designer Jerome Rousseau's fall shoe collection. His designs are so inspired and the craftsmanship so expert, we couldn't wait to introduce his magnificent line to you, our readers.
Florence The Shoe Goddess and Jerome Rousseau

In recent years, Jerome acted as footwear Design Director at Isabella Fiore, where he was instrumental in creating the vision of the brand.
His tenure has gathered important consideration, including a profile in industry-leading publication Footwear News, as well as various national and international press hits. Jerome finessed his design skills for ten years in London, where he worked alongside Matthew Williamson, Jasper Conran, John Richmond and John Rocha, as well as Paris based forecasting house Promostyl.
He had previously built a strong technical knowledge in footwear design at London Cordwainers College, famous for its many reputed alumni including Jimmy Choo, Patrick Cox and Emma Hope among others.

Though he is soft spoken with a slight British accent, Jerome's passion for design voices quite clearly through his incredible collection of shoes; it is chic and elegant with an edge that is oh-so-British. The designs reach women of all ages, are so versatile that they can easily go from day to night without a hitch and they are, honestly, some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever encountered. They are light as air and the sole is so sturdy that the shoes literally hug the foot.
Just like many great designers before him, Jerome's shoes have a unique personality, a look that will undoubtedly be recognized by the fashion world as "Rousseau." I believe Jerome will be the talk of the town in no time. Not only is he an extremely promising designer, he's also a beautiful human being. We look forward to seeing more of him at the WSA show in Vegas next week.
Take a look at this stunning "Etoile Peacock Pump." I love the subtle silver piping that lines the satin criss cross. So chic.

This "Dragon Multiside Pump" is Jerome's favorite. I love the classic yet edgy look. The colors work harmoniously without being too busy; they have a very couture feel to them.

As it becomes closer to the official launch of his line (right now there are only one pair of each of his shoes!) we will be showing you more of his collection -- as well as a video podcast featuring Jerome -- in which you can see his passion and explore his inspirations for yourself.
It is always such an honor and pleasure to meet emerging talents like Jerome and introduce him to shoe lovers like yourself. Our special thanks to Jerome for taking the time out of his busy pre-WSA schedule to spend the day with us here at TheShoeGoddess. Interested buyers can make contact here.
