As we always preach here at the shoe goddess, green is a difficult color to pull off for most. But for the daring Fashionista willing to wear these reptilian beauties? Rock on. I would pair them with a cream colored, tailored dress for a clean sophisticated look or some skin-tight-rock 'n roll skinny jeans for a funkier feel.
Jimmy Choo Lizard Mary Jane Pump $995.00- Bergdorf

I love these daring shoe's! there is something very italian about these shoes, i can't quite put my finger on it. Again quite difficult to wear but still those jewel colours are amazing. As usual though I would still be against them thanks to the materials used, aside from the whole ethics after feeling lizard and snakesin products I always find the texture to be a bit disturbing.
You should look at the other Jimmy Choo's at Saks.com there's a hot pink patent leather version of this style. I favor them over this pair..
Yep actually I've seen them several times as they have been advertised in the press a lot. But tbh I'm begining to become sick of patent leather, I've never liked trends where you get an entire kind of material becoming on trend and then you get nothing but patent leather pretty much from everyone. I like it as a material but I wish it was used more sparingly. I say this whilst writing up the Gucci show which was full of patent leather that I am actually praising. Oh well I guess writing on fashion means you have to be slightly hypocritical right?
Actually patent leather has been used for years in the shoe industry, and just recently every shoe in leather, is patent leather(that's what they say) it's simply because patent leather to the consumer is great quality, being an interior designer and quite familiar with leather hides, grades, etc. I've seen some shoes claiming to be patent but they are not... Remember when every leather piece may it be luggage, furniture or shoes, was done in 'Italian' leather? In fact it's from an Asian country, 'patent' replaced 'italian' sooner or later patent will be gone as well. And as for the design aspect, I wouldn't say that your hypocritical, it's just when your watching a fashion show, the shoes are not the stars of the show and when you're looking at shoes being there are limited materials out there, you can easily overdose with the exact same thing....Man this is a long reply lol..
Thats a very good point but I didn't mean just shoes, recently there has been a whole slew of paten jackets, skirts anything you can think of. And with shoes Specifically the fashion shoes many designers have specifically chosen patent this season to follow the zeitgeist. Maybe I've become a bit sick of it too early on. But actually there is one very good arguement for the material, its practicality, it's not always practical to wear a suede shoe (especially in London) and the amount of times i've almost fallen in leather soled loafers on wet London days, I've lost count (suffice to say it becomes a bit of an ice rink, minus the ice).
