As far as I remember, Sonia Rykiel has always been around. She was crowned "the queen of knits" in 1967.

But I wonder what someone once voted as one of  the "10 most elegant women" would think of these hideous boots bearing her label?

Although I am a little too old for this style, I adore these boots. Fringe boots are super fun and adorable to wear, but be aware that there is a fine line between being whimsical and being tacky. So, if you decide on a pair of fringe boots, make sure that they do not have too high of a heel or a platform.

These Joie boots have the perfect combination of trendiness and elegance. They would be perfect paired with jeans or a mini-skirt, or they would look fabulous with tights and a simple t-shirt dress.

Last year, these hideous styles were everywhere except for on women's feet, so you would think designers got the message! Fashionistas don't want to be caught wearing ugly socks let alone to have them attached to their shoes. But no! Apparently the message didn't reach Stella McCartney, who again has created a monstrosity!

Lately, I’ve been on a quest to add some more comfortable shoes to my wardrobe. I recently got these blue Joie wedges, and they are great! The blue is gorgeous, and they are ultra-comfortable. They are great weekend shoes, and I plan to wear them with everything: skirts, shorts and jeans. Plus, the price is great too!
