Lanvin Bow Pumps

Adorable. These remind me of a pair of Christian's I wore for my senior prom, so maybe I have a bias towards them... regardless they are really feminine and undeniably pretty.  I love the shape of the heel and the open toe. These get an A+. Definitely a "flirty dress" shoe.

i think that i am in love! the bow front, the heel, the mix of leather and suede. i'm drooling.

Lanvin for a long time (at least in fashion sense) have been known as the go to place for funky platforms so it is quite refreshing to see a non-platformed shoe from them, and you all know my feelings on the platform and probably my love of all things Lanvin. Everyone is saying it though, platforms are begining to lose their grip and you know what I can't wait. Just tonight in the East Village I saw this stunning woman in a pink shift and bright-neon-pink-patent-platform-mary-jane-peep-toes (phew that was a long description, but you get the idea) and honestly the heel was so high and the platform totally de-streamlined the shoe that this stunning woman also looked like a hooker. I'll give you that they maybe more comfortable, and they can turn a borring shoe into something funky and edgy but when it is added to a more elegant sillhoutte it ruins it.

I understand what you are saying. I am quite the fan of platforms, but they do have to be done in the right way. Too much=porn star shoes. But I have seen some subtle platforms that I loved. I posted some croc printed pointed toe Jimmy Choos with a platform, and they were gorgeous! But it wasn't overdone. It's all about balance! I love your comments though! Keep 'em coming!! :)

Yep I guess I have to learn to not generalise with something like a platform, every shoe is different right? However I was in Jeffrey's today and saw their Louboutin's with the double platforms and I just thought they looked so gaudy the double platform whilst giving the heels about an extra inch and a half also add a tonne of clunk not only this but almost half the time i see a woman in louboutins here in the city they are women that are wearing them for pure status like a LV bag. I fear that the admiration for the red soles will wane as it becomes even more of a status symbol as the years go by and nobody wants that!
