Like similar brand Repetto, Lanvin's inspiration lies in Ballet. ( I can surely attest to that as I wore my Lanvin patent, square-toe flats around the WSA show today... thank god for Ballet flats!) Though I love the glitter detail, I feel like it looks about ready to chunk off, literally. I guess these are for the cautious fashionista (which seems like an oxymoron... fashion is messy and adventurous, never cautious!)

I bought the pump version of these (also on the Barneys website -- the hook is too long to post here) and I adore them. They are just total kick @$$ shoes. Wore them to a party and every guest and every member of the wait staff commented on them. And, to be honest, I think the glitter held up magnificently. Didn't lose them at all.
