Love the heel, really makes this boot stand out from the rest.  Love the neutral earthy tone of the leather (kind of a brown/grey.)  These could go from day to night and then some.  I would pair them with a casual dress like this one from Kettle Black.

These are so urban cowgirl, which I am always feeling (grew up in both Chicago and Colorado.) Love the color and the added height. I would do these with "old faithfuls" or a denim skirt like this one by Chloe.

I believe this is the male counterpart to the sandal I reviewed yesterday but I'm not completely sure... For one thing, Marc Jacobs' shows have both male and female models walking... not to mention, this leg is so skinny it could be a woman!  Eat something and put on a better pair of shoes because these are hideous!!

So overall, I was impressed with the laid back, hipster/beach bum kind of style Marc Jacobs presented for Spring. I also happened to find a shoe from the runway that I quite liked.  Not sure how well these sandals would translate into real life, but I'm definitely digging them.  I could see them with a long boho skirt, a colorful mini, high waisted shorts... even with a pair of cuttoffs.

Thank you!! Thank you for creating something worth talking about in a positive light!! We were getting tired of bashing your designs, Marc. These are simple, chic, classic yet modern and ultra feminine.  I would pair them with an equally femme dress or a black little number. But to be honest, they are so pale pink they could pass as neutrals... which means you can wear them with just about anything.

I think it's safe to say that I am mourning the loss of the Marc Jacob's designs I used to know and love.  These are ok, but not fantastic and I want fantastic!! They're a little 'old lady' and I honestly just wouldn't buy them (which is what he wants, believe me.)

Celebs and designers alike gathered to celebrate the 2008 CFDA awards Monday night at the rooftop gardens of Rockefeller Center.

Big winners of the night included Carolina Herrera for Lifetime Achievement, Tom Ford for Menswear Designer of the Year and Tory Burch for Accessory Designer of the Year, to name a few.

But, what WE wanted to know is what shoes they wore (obviously!).

Well ladies, here you go. My two fave picks from that evening... (drumroll)

And the parade of atrocious Marc Jacobs shoes keeps marching on! I really don’t know who this guy is designing for! These boots are just utterly tacky. If you want this look, don't bother buying it--just pair some grandma pumps with fishnet hose, cut off at the knees! Seriously ladies...this is not a good look for anyone!

These remind me of Beyonce's character, Foxxy Cleopatra in Goldmember (IMDb.)  I know retro always makes its way into our wardrobes, but this is taking retro a little too literally.  I want to look inspired by past trends, not like I stepped off the set of Saturday Night Fever. (IMDb.)  Needless to say, I'm not down with these.

Interesting to say the least! I don't know how I feel about that color scheme. That brown and the lucite heel are very retro, but I'm not sure if these would look too campy when actually worn. And ick--there's nothing worse than too campy! To be honest, I wouldn't be caught in these, but maybe there's someone out there who could pull them off? I can't even begin to imagine what I'd pair them with in my wardrobe... all I'm imagining is a big, red, floral muu-muu. Yikes!
