Hello banana!! I love love love yellow shoes... something about that shiny patent banana color mixed with the tan "Panama Jack" leather really gets me going.  Here, I'm not sure I agree with the choice of opaque black tights, I'd much rather a bare, well manicured foot, but that's just me.  I hope Marni comes out with something similar for ready-to-wear because I am... ready to wear these!!!

These remind me of a field of fresh cut grass... maybe its that jagged green cartoon design across the front of the shoe. I love Marni for their cutting edge vitality, but I don't like this particular shoe... too much going on for me. But then again, maybe they are only meant to live and breathe on the catwalk... we'll see come Spring.

Marni has such a specific way of designing, everything Marni speaks Marni.  This shoe is futuristic/funk to me... and I applaud the use of opaque black stockings... really makes the shoe pop.  I'm not sure I would rock these however, too funky even for me!

Here at the Shoe Goddess, we live for seeing the new shoes at the runway shows. I've joked before that it's like porn for the shoe lover! Here are some of our favorites from Milan, and next week we'll feature our favorites from Pashion Fashion Week. My favorite of these is the Marni pump--just divine!

I know...encore Marni! Well, sorry about that, but I just adore their fall collection. All the shoes are terrific.

I particularly love this fabric and wool pump. They are elegant, timeless, and the jacquard pattern adds a very British touch to these pumps. I will pair them with dresses, jeans and suits.

Last week we discussed the importance of a classic black pump. If you missed it, you can read it here. And now we continue our series on Building a Shoe Wardrobe with the ballet flat.

Anybody who knows me, knows how I adore a high heel. I can’t get enough of them. I used to wear them regardless of circumstances, even when my feet ached and I could barely walk. Now that I’ve gotten a little older and have a toddler, I gladly embrace stylish flats, and they have a very important part in any woman’s wardrobe. I encourage you to wear flats when appropriate—don’t end up in sneakers in desperation because you had to toss the heels. Rather feel free to wear stylish flats.
I would suggest investing in some well-made flats in neutral colors: black, browns, cream and even metallics, which I consider a neutral. From there you can branch out into vibrant colors with embellishments. But it’s always nice to know you have a basic black flat to pull out when you need it! If you’ve never tried Lanvin ballet flats, you simply must! Bridget Assil of Madison in Beverly Hills raved about Lanvin flats, and since I bought a pair from her, I have lived in them! They are the most comfortable flats I’ve ever worn! In my choices, I also included the Cole Haan Air Bria flat. I absolutely love them. They manage to combine the look of a ballet flat with a more athletic feel and the comfort of a sneaker! I’m ordering myself a pair!
Here are a few choices that I think would be a great addition to your wardrobe! Stay tuned for our next installment!

When I first saw these shoes, I was like WTF is Marni thinking? Rubber shoes? Ewww... But,  yesterday I went to Barneys (and didn't buy anything!!) and came across these shoes in the raspberry color, and I must admit that they looked good. I like their very young feel.

Yes, they are rubber, but they are whimsical and cute. And they also are extremely light and will be perfect for rainy days. They come in different colors, but my favorite is the raspberry. It will compliment any shade of gray, brown, black or beige.

I am so excited! This year, Hilary and I will be attending Fashion Week in NYC!! We also have a lot of meetings with designers to preview their Spring '09 shoe collections, and we will be attending a whole bunch of parties. So my problem is what to pack and what to wear.

Although I am pretty well stocked when it comes to shoes, believe it or not, I never bring the ones I need. So I always end up buying more!

I have already set my eyes on these absolutely gorgeous Marni metallic pumps. I bought a similar pair in a metallic purple color, and they are so chic, yet still sexy. I wonder how long I will be able to resist these!

I love the red metallic color--so hot! I can totally picture them with a cute flirty brown dress, or with black, or....basically everything! Ughhhh ... should I? Should I not ? What a cruel dilemma!

Once my husband finds out about my new Amex charges, I'm gonna be in big trouble, but how can anyone miss out on these fabulous Marni Mary-Janes? Sorry, but I had to have them. And I know that they were worth every penny. I can't wait for fall to wear these fabulous shoes. They can be easily paired with basically any kind of outfit, from fitted dresses to casual denim pants. This pair is definitely a must have for fall!

I told you that over the next couple of weeks you were about to see a lot of Marni shoes! I just love the whole collection, and these pink cuties are no exception!

Of course, I ordered them, and as I am writing this I just received them. They look even better in real life!! I love the boucle over the natural wooden heel. It's sophistication meets nature. And they are super comfy as well.

I believe these pumps are timeless, and will look amazing with almost everything, from dresses to jeans to classic suits. Oui oui Marni!
