Sometimes I feel like designers try so hard to be original that it can turn into major disasters! I know it's not easy to find inspiration, but seriously these shoes are absolutely weird, and they look painful!! I understand that the new trend is to borrow everything from our men like boyfriend jeans, boy shorts, or even boyfriend shirts. But truly whatever happens in Home Depot should stay in Home Depot... especially when it comes to their tool boxes.

you know what they come in a boot form as well. the editor of french vogue wore them this fashion week in paris. the thing is with margiela is that these are actually supposed to be quite ironic. ever felt like you standing on a nail instead of a heel all day? the margiela nail shoes just materialise the feeling. i guesss you could call these expressionist shoes! but i must say the boots looks a whole lot better.

Carine Roitfeld pulled off the nail boot (different style) in a wonderful way. Give a look at the boot version. Tres Chic.
I like them. They're in line w/ the rest of his work. Only thing, they do look uncomfortable as hell, that heel is hella-thin, doesn't look like it'd do a good job of stabilizing you...I'll pass, but thumbs up to Martin for pushing the envelope artistically...
After writing a negative review on a pair of shoes, I always feel bad of the amount of work the designer has spent to create the shoes, but truth is I am not crazy about the nail heel, however I am going to look at the boots version.
