Another take on the gladiator, in a different color scheme. I absolutely love this shoe! The textures, colors, ankle wrap detail... I'm excited for Spring! I'd love to see these shoes with a Missoni dress, actually.
Missoni Spring 2009
We all know MIssoni makes beautiful garments, but look at their shoes! Amazing. This particular peep toe pump seems to be the new take on the gladiator (the upper has that distinctive "plate" detail.) Although ankle straps tend to cut me off at the ankle, I think these would be perfect for me because I'm fair and they would blend in with my skin tone. Pair these with dresses for sure.

Don't get me wrong, I think Missoni creates some really dynamite stuff (including these shoes.) But sometimes, I feel that the 'zig zag' is cliche or redundant at this point. I own a beautiful Missoni slinky sundress. It's black and white and yes, has the signature zig zag stitching. But I am kind of over seeing it every season. I know it's their claim to fame and I do think it is something to be celebrated, but it gets old for me. What do you think of these pumps? I like them personally because it's a tiny bit different from the signature print (the margins between lines are wider, the use of color etc...)
