Less is the New Plus: Peep-Toes!

Peep-toes continue to be all the rage for fall, and I love that it’s now chic to wear them with tights! Black and gray tights are obvious, but I also encourage you to mix it up with some fun patterns or even bright colors.

Here are some of my favorite affordable peep-toes!

Colin Stuart Satin Platform Mary Jane
I really love these pumps—everything about them, but especially the chunky heel and the platform. And you can easily wear them with pants or jeans or a dress and tights. They are also available in a black and a gray.

Nine West Osterige Pump
Aren’t these pumps cute? I love the purple suede and the strappy upper. The heel actually looks shorter to me in the pictures, but don’t despair! They are 4 inches!

Paris Hilton Destiny Pump
I want to despise these pumps because I really can’t stand Paris Hilton, but when I spotted these pumps, I had to admit that they were cute. I really like how the bow is off-set, but that the ribbon extends to the sole on both sides. Bows can look silly at times, but when the placement is unexpected it makes them more interesting and not so little girlish. These pumps are also available in a brown suede, with a taupe-colored bow that would be really pretty for fall.

Less is the New Plus: Sky-High Heels!

Pelle Moda Jeri Slingbacks

I love these Pelle Moda slingbacks! The coffee-colored crocodile-embossed leather is a really nice color, and will be perfect for fall! And you guys know how much I love these super-high heels!

Colin Stuart Foldover Bootie
One of my favorite sites for cheap shoes is Victoria’s Secret. While some of the shoes can tend to look like they were made for strippers, there are some good finds! I think these Colin Stuart booties are super cute! I’m really into gray suede right now! It’s still a nice neutral, but a little more interesting than black.

Nine West Jasley Satin Sandals

I’ve recommended these sandals to several of my girlfriends, who needed inexpensive evening sandals! They are available in red, black and champagne satin. I adore the red and black (of course!) but the champagne is really pretty, and it’s a good wardrobe staple!

Thanks to many of you writing in and asking us to review less expensive shoes, we have a fun new weekly feature! While the focus of our blog remains on designer shoes, there are fabulous shoes to be had at every price, and we will feature some of our favorite styles every week!

I love these slingbacks, and would have ordered them on the spot, if my size was available (damn my size 11 feet!). I love the combination of the hot pink leather with the wooden platform and heel, and they are available in a variety of other fun colors. I would pair these with a pretty summer dress or even jeans.

Nine West Olavera Sandals
I love the design of these sandals. And the snakeskin print and color are fun—perfect for summer! If you love the form, but not the orange snakeskin look, they are available in other colors including a black patent, which is really sleek.

Chinese Laundry Even Steven Platform Pumps
These satin platform pumps are hot for fall! I can definitely see them with a short skirt or dress and black tights. I really like the combination of the rounded toe with a super-thick platform, and it will help to off-set that 4-inch heel.

Fall Oxford Shoes

Oxfords seem to be this fall's must have shoe.  They are everywhere this season and of course they range from very expensive to more reasonable prices.

These oxfords are beautiful and their price is not too bad.  Actually Barney's co-op carries a lot of very sexy shoe lines that are also pretty affordable.

And for those that are always looking for the best bargain, I've found these very cute and way affordable Max studio shoes. They look good; I like the vintage look of the leather.
