the colouring reminds me of many of the boots im seeing on the london underground at the moment. and i love the details of these.

oh its not one pair of boots but i've just seen quite a lot in this colour (by a lot i mean maybe a few times a week on different women). So whilst over here the colour maybe a bit saturated in LA Im sure it probably isn't. The problem with women in London is that the majority don't wear high-heels for one reason or another. Those that do will almost always go for black and safe designs or boots (either in black or brown). Maybe you should give the London style a go around LA (shaving off a lot of fabric into these sandals will probably help if its a bit hot over there).
I know, actually I was born in France, I never really wore heels when I lived there the reason is because people walk a lot in Europe.
L.A trend can go from classic to crazy depend on the neighborhood. It's actually a crazy TV show called the real housewives of O.C if you see the way these women are dressed up is horrendeous and almost grotesque.

lol don't worry i've seen many of the horros of LA and yep your totally right London involves a lot of walking especially as cabs cost so much and then theres the congestion charge no wonder women love flats here. Personally my favourite city of all time, in terms of style, is New York. I still remember walking down 5th Ave. and this woman in a black feather gown in manolo's on the opposite side of the street. You just don't get that kind of dressing here in London. Don't get me wrong London women have a tremendous amount of style but its very samey and its really quite rare to have to stop in the street here just to see someone who has worn something amazing go by, unlike say NY or HK.
I know,between bad weather and walking yes London women have to wear flat, actually I love Brits they can go from super conservative to extremely crazy (Vivienne Westwood) but they always have so much class, I love that.
To em the worst freaks are located in Florida especially Miami, all women look the same (bad plastic surgery), but I have to admitt that although i have been leaving in L.A for so long i still get scared by some freaks I see.
