Yes, yes…I know! I’m talking about the YSL Tribute pump AGAIN, but I can’t help it! It’s just such a fabulous shoe, and I was happy to see that Barneys now has the 80-mm (3 inches) heel version, compared to the 130-mm (5 inches) version that I bought. You know me…the higher the heel, the better, and I love the patent version I bought. They are super hot, but not exactly practical or comfortable for wearing to work all day. However, the lower heel is a great option. It’s still very chic, and maintains the basic look of the double platform, but much more practical for every day. Florence’s sister-in-law bought a pair, and she says they are very comfortable!

I also love the gray color of these. They are perfect for work to wear with a business suit, or after hours with jeans. This is a shoe you will be able to wear for all kind of occasions for many years!

I have been obsessed with the fall YSL Tribute Collection since I first saw it! I mean really obsessed. I had Florence and Hilary literally scouring NYC for the patent Tribute pump in my size. They couldn’t find it, so I need to get on calling around to find them before it’s too late!

Anyway, I love these YSL boots. They just ooze sexiness! I would probably buy them too, but I’m budgeting, and the pumps are more practical for my lifestyle. The only thing I don’t love about these boots is that they are mid-calf length. There is no way I could resist them if they were ankle boots!

I also must mention the color of the sole and the boot lining (You can't see it in our pictures, but check the link below). I love the turquoise! Just like I love the red soles of Christian Louboutin's shoes, the turquoise on these shoes is gorgeous and very striking!

I would wear these boots with most anything. Just be careful that you don’t end up looking like a stripper! These boots are hot, but they are right on the edge. Sometimes there is a fine line between high fashion and stripper platforms! I’d probably only wear them with jeans, trousers or longer skirts. Short skirts, probably not!

Hmm... I don't like these pumps. Too much going on. The tiger's eye stone detail+leopard print is too much animal kingdom for me. The design is classic, but more classic in the 'old lady' way and less in the 'Coco Chanel' way. Maybe in a different color, perhaps just black with the tiger's eye ... or in pastels it could pass as something Marie Antoinette might have fancied.

If you are looking for folkorique boots, these Saint Laurent are perfect. They are a little razzmatazz-looking for me, but they might suit a chic Boho fashionista perfectely. However, you better be ready to pay a heafty sum. These babies are not cheap!

YSL High Wedge

These remind me of the little clogs you see in Japanese tea houses, but with a modern edge. They are not for me, but I like them regardless. The shape is nice, the patent leather really makes them pop; I give them a B+....These babies definitely want to be paired with a flirty dress with a full skirt.

Yves Saint Laurent Army T-Strap Karung Sandal

Yves Saint Laurent has come out with some incredibly beautiful and sexy shoes this season, but unfortunately these shoes do not fit that description! I compare the sleek and elegant Tribute Double-Platform Pump to these sandals and just wonder “why??” The straps and stiletto heel of this sandal are gorgeous, but the rubber “tire-track” bottom is just bizarre and clumsy looking. Maybe I’m just too old? I imagine someone young and hip could pull them off, but I definitely don’t think these sandals are for most people, and they certainly aren’t timeless!

Incredibly cute. I love the platform on the upper, really adds a special something. Although I tend to shy away from ankle straps, these are so nice I might have to take a chance. I would do these with cute feminine dresses or sexy sophisticated cocktail attire. They're super versatile.

Pick of the Week: Yves Saint Laurent Tribute Double-Platform Pump

When I came across these pumps, it was love at first sight! I love their sleek, elegant look, but what I love the most, is that we can indulge our exotic craving without the guilt. No, those shoes are not real crocodile--they are embossed leather.

They will be fabulous paired with suits and dresses, and I will wear them with a pencil skirt and a simple shirt.

I’ve been waiting for a few of Yves Saint Laurent’s styles to come to the stores for a few weeks now, and this was one of them! Can we all say in unison now “I’ve died and gone to shoe heaven!” To me this is the quintessential pump, with a modern, sexy twist! I do want to try them on before purchasing them to make sure they are somewhat wearable—that heel is pretty high and skinny! Obviously you can wear these shoes with absolutely anything. They are on my must-have list!
