**Congratulations to Barbra, Lys and Bunny for each winning a set of Foot Petals!!**

Fashionable shoes can be quite rough on your tootsies, especially with the sky-high stilettos we all love to wear! That’s why we love Foot Petals so much! Three lucky readers will win a pair of Foot Petals Tip Toes and Killer Kushionz. Tip Toes protect the ball of the foot and keep feet from slipping and sliding in your shoes, while Killer Kushionz are a full insole that works in any shoe, even sandals!

Speaking of uncomfortable shoes, I have some entertaining stories about injuring myself for the sake of my shoes. Probably the worst is when I wore stiletto boots all day at a business conference and into the night dancing, and ended up with a sprained ankle that still bothers me to this day! Or there’s the time when I was leaving the pediatrician with my son, and my shoe slipped on the running board of my SUV, and I fell flat on my back on the concrete! So, embarrassing! So I want to know your funniest shoe stories involving suffering for the sake of fashion!

To enter to win, leave me your story in the comments section below, before Saturday (June 28) at 5:00 p.m. EDT. We’ll select 3 winners randomly! Don’t forgot to leave your e-mail address—if you comment anonymously, we won’t be able to contact you!

And if you don’t win this time, don’t worry! Foot Petals will be sponsoring more giveaways, or, if you can’t wait, visit www.footpetals.com. Good luck!

Very very cute shoes

There are so many "shoe calamities" that come to mind, but this one really hits home.

I had a PERFECT pair of spectator platform Steve Madden pumps - loved them with every iota of my shoe soul. FootPetals made them even more bearable from a long day at the 9t05 going into a night out with the gals.

Well one day - a few months ago - I was rockin' these platform pumps and someone screwed something up major at the 9to5 necessitating my need to RACE down the stairs at breakneck speed and I fell. I fell straight down the flight of stairs and my heel broke - at the top of the shoe but I still soldiered on throughout the day. I took them to a shoe repair place and they told me they were beyond repair and that they'd have to be retired. My heart is still broken.

Oh no! But at least you didn't break something!! But poor shoes! :(

Those are so pretty and they sound great, too!

When I was in high school, I was infatuated with ridiculous platform heels. Think stripper shoes. One day I insisted on wearing four inch platform/ eight inch heel Mary Janes for an all day outing. Duh! I was slipping on the floor of the mall, and by the end of the day, I was having so much trouble walking that my boyfriend had to carry me out! If the embarrassment wasn't enough, they gave me nasty blisters, too.

LOL! I can picture that! I finally have figured out to NOT shop in uncomfortable shoes. I did it for years though!

These are awesome!

My funniest shoe story is from when I worked in Washington, DC. I was walking back from lunch with some co-workers and I was wearing these cute black heels - I think they were Steve Madden. There are lots of grates in the sidewalk in DC, from the subway system. Usually when I walk over the grates, I kinda tiptoe so my heels don't get caught. Anyway, this time, I got too confident and my heel got caught right in the grate. I stepped out of the shoe as I was walking and tripped a bit. Some tourists were walking by and they started laughing! I'm standing there yanking on my shoe, trying to get it unstuck, and this man stops to help me and tells me he didn't think this happened in real life, just in movies!

I wore a pair of really cute heels to my husband's cousin's birthday party. Little did I know that 90% of said party would take outside...in the grass...and it had recently rained. I spend the entire evening taking a step, sinking into the ground, yanking my foot out, taking another step, etc. It tried taking them off, but kept stepping on sharp rocks and things. I was miserable, but at least they had a nicely aerated lawn by the time I left.

Which story to pick? There are so many!

The worst story is probably I was jaywalking on a busy NYC street (bad move) on my way to work when I stepped on the side of my shoe - wearing flip flops! I fell in the middle of the street - my handbag flew one way, my other bag that holds my high heels flew another way, and i hit the pavement! I was a mess! And cars were coming! I got my stuff together and made it to work, however, I fell so hard that it triggered an ocular migraine and I had to go home!

Bottom line - I'm not so nice to my feet - I wear high heels, am a runner, and a klutz! I would LOVE foot petals!

Thanks for the giveaway!

Oh these would be perfect for my Red leather heels!

OMG! My MIL once gave me a beautiful pair of shoes from Versace and I was so excited to wear them that I wore them without stockings. I had blisters on my toes, and on the back of my heel. So I went into a pharmacy to buy bandages and I plastered them on the sore points. But it still didn't get any better. I tried to pull my head up high and endure the pain! It was awful and I prayed so hard the day would end. I couldn't even walk a few steps to save myself!

Barbra

I have a pair of sandals that I really love to wear but they have slippery soles and I slid across my office one day. That was the last time I wore those to work.
