I'm not that crazy about the shoes from Alexander McQueen show, but they're still fun to look at! We'll have to wait and see what actually comes out next year for purchase!

The shoes from Paris Fashion Week are even more amazing than anticipated, and John Galliano certainly does not disappoint! These shoes are pure fantasy!

Hello banana!! I love love love yellow shoes... something about that shiny patent banana color mixed with the tan "Panama Jack" leather really gets me going. Here, I'm not sure I agree with the choice of opaque black tights, I'd much rather a bare, well manicured foot, but that's just me. I hope Marni comes out with something similar for ready-to-wear because I am... ready to wear these!!!
Marni Spring 2009
These remind me of a field of fresh cut grass... maybe its that jagged green cartoon design across the front of the shoe. I love Marni for their cutting edge vitality, but I don't like this particular shoe... too much going on for me. But then again, maybe they are only meant to live and breathe on the catwalk... we'll see come Spring.

These scream Dior to me (Florence has a pair of white platforms from Dior Runway that have the same characteristics.) So chic and inventive, I would pair these with a cocktail dress for sure, especially in a pop color like kelly green.

I was sort of going through metallic withdrawal until I saw this stunner from Gucci's Runway. So sexy and springy, I can't wait to see if these make it to stores. If they do, I would pair them with a denim skirt or a linen dress. Let the shoes do the talking.
Gucci Spring 2009
I have to say I am very impressed with Gucci's Runway collection. For the past few seasons, I've been over Gucci but in recent times they've restored the faith I once had in their designs. These, to me, are vamped up, sexed up Candies ala Sandy in Grease. And what could be better than a young hot olivia newton john? that was a rhetorical question.

Woooh... These are intense. I'm taken aback slightly. Very masculine and next to those whimsical ballet inspired pumps they are GI Joe vs Barbie. I hope they make something similar for ready to wear because I'm liking their intensity. With a Black skin tight number like Herve Leger, you'd feel like Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider.
Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2009
When I think of the French, one of the first things that comes to mind is ballet. Not because all French people are somehow amazing ballerinas dancing about Paris in tutus and toe shoes (though that would be quite entertaining) rather ballet was born in France and most commonly taught in French (it's certainly the first place I heard French spoken.)... I digress... These runway shoes were obviously ballerina inspired and designed by none other than French designer Jean Paul Gaultier. They are lovely, dreamlike, whimsical. Although, I'd love to see someone try a pirouette in these babies!!

Here at the Shoe Goddess, we live for seeing the new shoes at the runway shows. I've joked before that it's like porn for the shoe lover! Here are some of our favorites from Milan, and next week we'll feature our favorites from Pashion Fashion Week. My favorite of these is the Marni pump--just divine!
