Desirable: Christian Louboutin Very Brode Pump
At first these shoes appear to be nothing special, but I like the pink color and Spanish feel. They kind of remind me of a Christian Lacroix collection back in the 80s. I think these shoes will look fab with anything black, navy or even gray.

I just adore these super cute ballet flats. They have the comfy feel of a slipper, but a leather sole, which makes them perfect for a stroll around the city

Repulsive: El Vaquero Buff Boots
I truly believe in karma, and any women who deserve to wear these hideous boots must have done something really bad back in the days of Calamity Jane and the gold rush because these boots are a monstrosity even by wild wild west standards.

If you are on a budget, one of the best ways to prioritize your shoe funds is to splurge on the basics, but spend less on trends that may not still be popular next year. Purple is one of those trends. It is super hot for fall, but it could easily fall to the wayside by next year. However, you can wear a basic Christian Louboutin black pump for years to come. I’ve found some cute purple shoes that will keep you trendy, but won’t break the bank!

When I was younger, I would wear heels for any occasion, no matter what I was doing or how long I would be walking, standing or shopping! As I’ve gotten older and have a child, I’ve come to realize I can’t wear 5-inch heels all the time, even though I love them dearly! And while I am sensible enough to know when to lose the 5-inch stilettos, I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing many of the shoes considered “comfortable” by many people! I don’t ever wear traditional athletic shoes unless exercising, but there are plenty of great twists on traditional sneakers out there from brands like Puma, Diesel, Rocket Dog, Privo and Converse.

Puma Future Cat Low P US $94 Zappos
Diesel Note Ballet Flat $84 ZapposHow adorable are these? I love the laser cut suede; it can work for summer and even into fall because of the material and the dusty rose color. I'd do these with skinny jeans, leggings, dresses, you name it. Very versatile color and shape.
Coclico Sugar Laser Cut Flat $84.60 Shopbop
As much as I love sky-high stilettos, there are times when they are not the best choice. I used to shop in them or walk the airport, and I’ve finally come to my senses after aching feet and sprained ankles! But, being comfortable does not mean losing my sense of style! I also had the pleasure of meeting Bridget Assil of Madison (read Florence’s exclusive interview). After hearing her and Florence rave about Lanvin ballerinas and seeing how cute they were, I just couldn’t resist. I bought a pair of the white leather, but in truth I wanted them all!

I’m not sure what it is with the resurgence of jelly shoes, but all the designers seem to be giving it a try. Maybe they realized how popular Crocs are and decided to try to design more chic-looking versions? I just don't know! I will admit that I thought the Marc Jacobs’ rubber ballet flats that Hilary reviewed were pretty cute, but I thought they were overpriced for jelly shoes. And I feel the same way about these Fendi ballet flats. I think they would be cute in leather, but I don't like the smoke (clear) color. $175 (although cheaper than most shoes we review) is a lot of money to spend on a passing trend. If you absolutely can't live without jellies, I’d try a much cheaper version. J. Crew has some for $45, and even better, Target has some for $9.99. Trust me…you’ll hate yourself next year when the trend is over, and you wonder why you spent $175 on jelly shoes, especially these!

How adorable and just in time for Spring. Prada brings us these ballet flats with a bit of pink flair. They really remind me of Audrey Hepburn. Love the fuchsia piping and the sweet feminine bow. I would do these with dark denim skinny jeans or even black leggings.
Prada Capretto Skimmers $420.00- Saks

I understand designers have to be creative in order to stand out . But seriously WTF are these hideous shoes? Needless to say the round separated toe is unflattering.
These shoes are inspired by Japanese construction workers' shoes called jikatabi shoes. I bet the first thing those guys do when they get off the job is remove their uber-ugly shoes.
So I can't imagine any sane woman willling to wear these especially when you know they retail for $41.50 at Amazon

Balenciaga has recently open a magnificent store on Melrose Blvd in Los Angeles, so today after droping off my daughter to her friend's house, I decided to stop by the store and check it out.
Oh well big mistake on my hand, as soon as I got inside the store I knew I will get in trouble as I spotted this amazing pair of shoes, and of course couldn't resist.
Anyway thank god my husband liked it!!! They are magnificent, I love their shape ,and the patent leather lace bow details is incredibly refined.
The floral print seems busy at first but look stunning with jeans. I can't wait tomorrow to wear these shoes.

So I know rubber shoes sound awful but truth be told, I have been wearing these Marc Jacob's Flats for the past few days to walk my dog in the mornings and they are the most comfortable thing!! It feels as if you're wearing nothing at all (that's a lot more than most shoes can claim.) They are the perfect shade of blue for Spring/Summer. I wore mine with a cute black a grey striped vince mini-dress and a hoodie this afternoon, very cute.
