I know what you're thinking, 'another gladiator??' well yes ma'am... because when you are as fabulous as Givenchy you can stand out from the crowd of trendy shoes. I love these, they are primal yet sophisticated and the gold color makes them pop. I would do these for evening with a bright color or black.
Givenchy Gladiator Shoe Boot $995.00- Barneys
I really like the turquoise on these gladiator sandals. Gold and turquoise go really well together, especially in a summer sandal. i would pair these with high waisted shorts or a yellow dress might be cute (yellow is everywhere this summer.)
Mystique Metallique Turquoise Gladiator Sandal $150.00- Intermix
I love mixing the masculine gladiator style with a soft suede and a feminine purple. It makes the shoe that much more interesting and dynamic. I have to say, the gladiator trend is really victorious this season (excuse the pun.) I would pair this particular heel with a fitted black or ooo maybe a yellow dress (I know, that's pretty daring, but I've always enjoyed purple and yellow.)
Jenni Kayne Gladiator Heel $390 Shopbop
But for those of you who aren't ready to drop so much money, here is a fabulous, very similar-looking pair of shoes.
They are also in a deep navy blue crinkled patent leather with metallic hardware, but their price is much lower at $325.00.
Whatever the choice, both shoes are hot and trendy and will make a statement anywhere you wear them!
Lanvin "platform Gladiator" $995.00 Barneys

L.A.M.B "dawn platform "sandal $ 325.00 e.Luxury

Yet another take on the almighty "Gladiator." Using the white leather really added a feminine touch and, as many of you know, the gladiator is a very masculine style. I believe anything to soften it up is cool. Perfect for a warm spring day in Santa Monica with a sundress or shorts. (for those of you who don't inhabit the great state of California, close you're eyes and imagine.)
Joie Crossroads Flat Sandals $245.00- Shopbop
Um... these are extreme... extremely ugly at that. Taking the gladiator a step too far. Yes, its a hot trend, but it needs to be attractive. These are straight from the Coliseum and I don't think they translate well to the streets... of anywhere!! Yikes.
D&G Leather Tall Calf Sandal $820.00
I must be feeling primal lately because I'm digging all of these really funky "ethinic" (hate using that term) shoes. These are typical Balenciaga, I will call it "tribal chic." I really would rock these, I'm not kidding, out in public, with a black little number.
Balenciaga Spring 2008
I know I did a review on a similar Bottega Sandal, but I like these way more!! They are doing so many different takes on the Gladiator, must be proud of their Roman heritage ;-) The weather here in LA is nice enough to already be sporting these with a cute little lavender dress or black little shorts, but for most of the country, this should get you excited for warmer temps!!
Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Leather Sandals $750- Net-a-Porter
Wow... Innovative and chic, I love 'em! Gladiators are the "it" shoe this Spring and this is the freshest take I've seen on the style thus far. I would do these day or night, with a dress or skirt. Ok I just convinced myself to buy them!
