It's all in the name... Franny? Rhymes with granny (sorry to anyone named Franny, but it's true!!)  These are awful... the color, the heel, yikes. You won't catch me in these unless it's for a Halloween costume... and it will be accompanied by a walker and a powdered wig.

I like the simplicity of the nude patent leather with the funky heel.  Obviously a neutral, but with a twist; a little character if you will.  I would pair these with a nice pencil skirt or suit.

Kelly green shoes... oh my!  I have to say I don't own any green shoes, but I'd like to.  Something about the shiny patent leather makes them look like emeralds, and what girl doesn't like precious stones?  I'd pair these with dresses for sure, but keep it simple. (PS I love the semi-peep front! Very Louboutin.)

Yes, yes…I know! I’m talking about the YSL Tribute pump AGAIN, but I can’t help it! It’s just such a fabulous shoe, and I was happy to see that Barneys now has the 80-mm (3 inches) heel version, compared to the 130-mm (5 inches) version that I bought. You know me…the higher the heel, the better, and I love the patent version I bought. They are super hot, but not exactly practical or comfortable for wearing to work all day. However, the lower heel is a great option. It’s still very chic, and maintains the basic look of the double platform, but much more practical for every day. Florence’s sister-in-law bought a pair, and she says they are very comfortable!

I also love the gray color of these. They are perfect for work to wear with a business suit, or after hours with jeans. This is a shoe you will be able to wear for all kind of occasions for many years!

You may look at this shoe and think “boooring,” but I really like these Prada pumps. And it’s always nice to have chic options in your closet that you can pull out season after season. I’m really liking gray this year. It’s a great alternative to black, and I love the way it looks against black tights. These pumps are another example of shoes that you could wear with a casual business suit, a dress and tights or even jeans.

Sometimes I feel like designers try so hard to be original that it can turn into major disasters! I know it's not easy to find inspiration, but seriously these shoes are absolutely weird, and they look painful!! I understand that the new trend is to borrow everything from our men like boyfriend jeans, boy shorts, or even boyfriend shirts. But truly whatever happens in Home Depot should stay in Home Depot... especially when it comes to their tool boxes.

Desirable: Christian Louboutin Swarovski Crystal and Studded Detail Pump

It will take a wealthy punk glam girl to pull off these crazy pumps! At least these shoes can be used as a fashion accessory, weapon or the ankle bracelet can be turned into a dog collar! Talk about a multi-tasking!

Wow! I really like these pumps! For those of us, who need our croc fix without spending big bucks or endangering rare species, these shoes are a perfect solution! They scream sexy and elegant, and the color is a definite fall must-have.

Repulsive: Christian Louboutin Fringe Cutout Boots

As much as I adore Christian Louboutin, these shoes make no sense to me! They are hideous! Ewww!! They remind me of stripper shoes gone bad after a long stay in a bordello in Tijuana!

Since I saw my first pair of Nicholas Kirkwood shoes last year, I have been a huge fan. When I displayed some of his designs during the party Mercedes Benz hosted for The Shoe Goddess, all the ladies were raving about them!

Anyway, the other day as I was browsing the web, I came across these out-of-this-world lizard skin shoes. They scream sexy and elegant to me, with a little edginess. I have to have them.... I know again. But I am The Shoe Goddess afterall,  and my husband is in Paris for the whole week, so no yelling until...well the next Amex statement!

When I first came across the Dior Fall 2008 collection, it was love at first sight, especially with the pink sling back pump. As soon as they came up for pre-order, I bought them. But yesterday as I went to check on the Neiman Marcus shoe collection, I found this pump in a fabulous aqua color. Of course, I couldn't resist!! Suddenly, I was overwhelmed by the vision of fabulous gray, black and brown outfits dancing in front of my eyes fabulously complimented by these amazing shoes.

Wouldn't they look magnificent with simple skirts, dresses or jeans? I thought so too and bought them.

When I think of the French, one of the first things that comes to mind is ballet.  Not because all French people are somehow amazing ballerinas dancing about Paris in tutus and toe shoes (though that would be quite entertaining) rather ballet was born in France and most commonly taught in French (it's certainly the first place I heard French spoken.)... I digress... These runway shoes were obviously ballerina inspired and designed by none other than French designer Jean Paul Gaultier. They are lovely, dreamlike, whimsical. Although, I'd love to see someone try a pirouette in these babies!!
