I usually adore Yves Saint Laurent shoes, but I have a difficult time understanding what statement these jagged platform pumps are trying to make? Maybe somehow these shoes are a tribute to our troops? Or maybe they are just designed to meet the needs of women living in the urban jungle?

Yves Saint Laurent has come out with some incredibly beautiful and sexy shoes this season, but unfortunately these shoes do not fit that description! I compare the sleek and elegant Tribute Double-Platform Pump to these sandals and just wonder “why??” The straps and stiletto heel of this sandal are gorgeous, but the rubber “tire-track” bottom is just bizarre and clumsy looking. Maybe I’m just too old? I imagine someone young and hip could pull them off, but I definitely don’t think these sandals are for most people, and they certainly aren’t timeless!

These sandals appeal to everything that is girly in me! They make me want to put on a sundress and skip through the park with flowers in my hair. Well, not really … but I do love them!! I think they would be gorgeous with a black cocktail or evening dress or you could save them for sundresses next spring! They are definitely timeless.

I’ve been waiting for a few of Yves Saint Laurent’s styles to come to the stores for a few weeks now, and this was one of them! Can we all say in unison now “I’ve died and gone to shoe heaven!” To me this is the quintessential pump, with a modern, sexy twist! I do want to try them on before purchasing them to make sure they are somewhat wearable—that heel is pretty high and skinny! Obviously you can wear these shoes with absolutely anything. They are on my must-have list!

Pelle Moda Jeri Slingbacks
I love these Pelle Moda slingbacks! The coffee-colored crocodile-embossed leather is a really nice color, and will be perfect for fall! And you guys know how much I love these super-high heels!

Very rarely can I actually justify spending over $1,000 on a single pair of shoes, but a nice exotic shoe is worth it, in my opinion, especially in the case of these stunning Python Loubies. Florence and I have also discussed whether python is age appropriate for the younger crowd. And that’s the beauty of these pumps. Florence, Hilary and I could all wear these pumps, even though we’re all different ages and have different tastes in clothing.

Wow—these blue ankle boots from Giuseppe are not for the faint of heart! The bright blue color is amazing, and I love the 4-inch silver stiletto heel and pointed toe. I’m kind of boring when it comes to clothes, so I’d probably pair these boots with jeans. But Net-a-Porter pairs them with a structured Fendi dress. I like the contrast of the classic lines of the dress with an edgier boot.

I know what you're thinking, 'another gladiator??' well yes ma'am... because when you are as fabulous as Givenchy you can stand out from the crowd of trendy shoes. I love these, they are primal yet sophisticated and the gold color makes them pop. I would do these for evening with a bright color or black.

These are intriguing to me. They are flesh tone patent, which I love, but they are also iridescent. Hmmm... I'm kind of stumped. These aren't for me, but there is something about them. I could see these with a beautiful floral number.
Jimmy Choo Atlas Patent Sandals $750.00- Saks

When I first laid eyes on these shoes, I instantly fell in love. I love the bright red patent leather and the "wedge stiletto" heel. The contrast of the cork against the patent leather makes the heel look skinnier. It's almost like a "trompe l'oeil" effect..
But these shoes are made for walking ... they look very comfortable. As soon as I get my pair I will be able to update you.
