As far as I remember, Sonia Rykiel has always been around. She was crowned "the queen of knits" in 1967.
But I wonder what someone once voted as one of the "10 most elegant women" would think of these hideous boots bearing her label?

I have to admit that the Bottega Veneta fall shoe collection is a tiny bit disappointing. There is not one pair of shoes in the collection that I would buy--which is extremely unusual--and not a good sign.
However, these eclipse wedges are interesting. They kind of remind me of my grandmother's rubber sole loafers, but at the same time, they have a very Vivienne Westwood feel to them that I like.
I think they will look good with pencil skirts and a belted jacket or with pleated skirts.

When Florence first reviewed a tall suede version of these ankle boots, I was oddly drawn to them, even though she hated them! And now I love this bootie version even more! I think they are super cool and really edgy. I think they would look fab with a short skirt and black tights. I can just imagine myself prancing around them—well, that is if I don’t end up flat on my butt! All that being said, I would certainly not spend that much money for a shoe that I probably would not wear that often. Let’s be honest here—these are not your everyday “mom” shoes! But if you like shoes that are high fashion and kind of out there, go for it! If they ever go on sale, I might buy them too!
I love the idea of Cole Haan shoes. I am fascinated by the technology, and I really applaud them for trying to make women’s shoes more comfortable. However, many times, comfort = unsexy granny shoes. But I do think these wedges are cute. I love the bright colors. They’re fun for summer, and you can even wear them with dressier outfits, especially when your feet need a break!
You can find these wedges at Bloomingdale's or the company's website, but I prefer the bright colors for summer that Bloomindale's offers. The black or the anthracite (at ColeHaan.com) would work into the fall season though!
Derek Lam is getting cuter and cuter as seasons pass. This particular sandal unfortunately looks kind of uncomfortable due to that higher than high wedge and absolutely no upper support. This is the type of shoe that you have to ask yourself before you slip it on, "is it worth the pain?" You decide.

I am often asked what shoes women should wear when they want to be stylish, but also need to be comfortable. Let me tell you ladies, the answer is NOT athletic shoes! Yikes! However, wedges like these Chloe loafers are perfect! A good wedge is going to be as comfortable as a sneaker, but yet much more fashion forward! You should be able to walk all day in them with no problems.
These wedges make me excited for fall! They are super cute, especially the buckle detail and the wooden heel. Pairing these with jeans is a no brainer, but I also think they would look perfect with a tweed skirt and cream tights or really any trousers in the brown-to-cream family.
These are adorable. Love the pink stitch detail; it's subtle, but super chic. The cute little wedged heel is a really cool afterthought (meaning you don't notice it at first.) I would do these with dresses for sure, because they are dainty and open... perfect for Summer.

I am giddy when I score a good deal! I had originally picked these wedges to blog about before they went on sale, but now they are 40 percent off, so I just had to order them before I started writing!!! I really love these wedges. Because of the T-strap and birdcage-style vamp, they are a little more dressy than some of the wedges I own, so I plan to wear them with pretty summer skirts and dresses. They are also available in red, but those are still full price ($480), which is still very affordable.
I think this time Christian Louboutin got his inspiration from the 17th-century french tale from Charles Perrault "Le petit Chaperon rouge" (Little Red Riding Hood) when he created these cute shoe booties. I like them a lot. They are very sweet with a "je ne sais quoi" of a little girl.
Sometimes I wake up in the morning with no desire to look fancy. I just want to feel comfortable (which doesn't mean neglected) just a little more casual than usual.
