Hi....i agree about the gold YSL shoe also. Although extrememly hot i didn't think the shade would work for fall. Are you talking about the Louboutin patchwork bootie featured on Style? If so, I saw it and thought it was cute but i kind of liked the lace-up look. I should be getting them Friday if FedEx doesn't let me down lol, i'll def keep you posted :)
Hi....I saw these in a metallic bronze today at saks in nyc. they were so hot.i almost bought them but talked myself out of it regrettably lol..i have a little dilemma--i love the louboutin sometimes lace-up shoes which i ordered in black but do you think they'd be a classic shoe? i know theyre sort of trendy but im thinking that with some tights for fall they could crossover, still undecidied though. i'd love to be able to wear them next year without looking too "behind on the times", what do you think????
I think that although the shoes are not the normal showstoppers Galliano does that the colors used on these shoes and the detailing bring them from ordinary to extraordinary and they are versatile which i think is sooo key when buying such an expensive shoe, too many times the shoes are beautiful works of art but how many times can you wear them?? This collection satisfies the Dior palate and provides a wearable collection without looking like you're trying too hard...in my humble opinion :)
i love the orange and black contrast, they'll look perfect in the fall with some grey wide leg pants or jeans..they remind me of a perfect autumn day in the city with the leaves all orange and red..NYC is beautiful in the fall
I LOVE the open toe maryjanes, they remind me of the silk open toe mary jane platforms that i regrettably passed on last fall but i will def not be making that mistake this time, i love these so much more. They are so versatile and can easily be used in spring.

i think chanel did something similar to this a few seasons ago with the removable leather thingy (does it even have a name lol)anyway not really digging these but im sure on the right person it'll come to life
I have to say that although these shoes are scary to most on the right person they could be complimentary, im thinking maybe marilyn manson or even herman munster's wife(from The Munsters) LOL
I agree also, they're just too ordinary for me. this is def one of those instances where you are paying for just the name and ok maybe a lil of the craftsmanship but its still way overpriced
I love the shimmer in these shoes, i think creamy cocoa when i see these. I have to (respectfully)disagree in that they look like stripper shoes, platforms have come such a looong way since the lucite heel. These loosely remind me of the YSL Tribute platform which are equally fab, platform and all ;)
these are adorable, my biggest "if" about gladiator style shoes like these that cover the foot the way they do is in the summer will my feet need to be ringed out...it still goes without saying that these shoes are sooo cute
I think these shoes are hot, they will look so nice with a tan (me being whiter than a ghost lol) and the way the sun will bounce off the amber in the summer is going to be a serious eye catcher.
i think the color is what makes these shoes hard to stomach, the concept isn't bad just the color. maybe if they were in a gunmetal color or even black they might be better and pull off that edge that i think he was going for.
Hi All....these shoes bring new meaning to the word disgusting,it looks like a leopard threw up on these!!!! do the designers take some sort of narcotic while designing these and then take more to approve them?? because any sane person wouldnt even use these to start a camp fire!! As far as Uggs go i am an uggs fan. i have tons of designer shoes but when it comes to comfort and warmth uggs deliver everytime. I would have to say im PRO-uggs.
Hi ShoeGoddess, i was at saks in NYC yesterday (2/7)and Christian Louboutin was there, it was actually pretty cool besides all the people. everyone getting autographs on their shoes when you know half of them are going to end up on ebay anyway, needless to say it was a mad house. i chose to admire from afar, it was just to much drama for me LOL, but i did leave with a pair of tiger print patent decollete pumps which were so adorable. Do you think tiger print is classic?? I sort of think they're really neutral, what do you think?? I'm just debating on whether to keep them or i was actually debating on the black minibout pumps---HELP PLEASE lol
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I discovered your site through bagsnob a few months ago and have been hooked ever since, shoes being my first love. It's such a fun site and has really helped me to appreciate shoes and designers that i normally wouldn't even consider. Thanks ShoeGoddess. Much Success to you and your staff on all your future projects!!!!
these shoes are def cute and the detailing on the heel is beautiful and it just pushes them from ordinary to extraordinary, however the price is really high and unless these are truly one of a kind who would spend that much on a sandal whose only embelishment is carved wood??
these shoes are classic chic and the detail on the heel is nice but as paul said yes a little boring..have you heard of jonathan kelsey?? He has some really great shoes and some have a funk/edge to them, which i love. he's on saks.com and should also be in the stores. ive seen them in saks in NYC and theyre just so much nicer in person
these are so yummy looking, they remind me of candy, in a good way though not in a costumey kind of way, i think they'd look great with all things grey or even navy with the right accessories and jeans of course.
His colections are truly stunning..the red shoes are just fabulous to say the least,i love the combination of the gold and red. He never ceases to amaze. he manages to always come up with something totally original and just set the bar even higher. he is such a creative genius
I totally agree..these shoes are so hideous. They look like they belong to the mascot for KFC or something involving some sort of chicken uniform and the price is just ridiculous, if anything they should pay me $810 to wear these!!!
for me Christian could do no wrong..his shoes are always beautiful pieces of work and def eye catching. even a simple black pump is pushed to the next level with the red sole..these shoes are no different. they are beautiful. Bergdorf's has them in a nude color, they are just as hottt
This was truly is a tragedy..he was def a talent. I feel sad for his family and I just hope they find comfort in each other through this difficult time.
I'm kinda diggin these shoes..i think they're so edgy and could totally see them with sum sort of mini dress or short trouser style shorts or if you're tall enough some sort of cropped pant or bermuda short
the marc jacobs line is really falling by the wayside..where is his inspiration??? At least his marc by marc jacobs line seems to be a little more promising

these shoes are so sexy.I def agree with paul and that ysl has been so consistent with their shoes this season,(with the exception of those cheap cork wedge sandals in pale green and black that have the color fading on the cork) they were so right on the money..i look forward to seeing what they come up with for next year
Yeah it is confusing, they all have the same name except maybe one word. I realized the shoe you were talking about after i left the comment. I loved the t-strap also, the cobalt blue is so nice. I def love the brown and black but i have yet to see the red. im sure they are sizzling...
there are some really nice gladiator sandals out right now, stella mccartney, jimmy choo and dolce gabbana all have some nice styles, the 2008 spring shoe selections look so promising :)
Hi...yes i did see the tribute t strap and they are so timeless and chic. the tribute platform in gold is so hottt!!! i love them. im tempted to buy them if for no other reason than to sleep with them under my pillow lol lol
the blisters are probably people's feet screaming to be freed from these monstrosities!!!! LOL I mean there are so many fashionable shoes that are so comfortable why would anyone settle for shoes that should be sent to the recycling plant??
Hi again :) ....i reconsidered on the blue and instead i got the "covered platform pump" in black(that i originally saw on neimans.com", i saw it in saks and bought them instead. its just safer and i figured it'll go with much much more and it can be used all year round which is what i wanted anyway. i just dont see myself wearing royal blue in nyc in the dead of winter, plus the shoe looks so cute in person and has a real femininity to them.....thanks for your help
these shoes are one part hideous and the other part grotesque!!!! the plastic they use to make these shoes should be better used on something else like the twisty things that hold the bags of bread closed lol
i have to say first off i am so glad that i can finally leave comments on this site for some reason my comp was screwey and wldn't let me log on but alas i am finally among the living lol...ok anyway i pre-ordered this shoe although named "simple pump" in royal blue off of saks.com, do you think that royal blue could be considered classic and worn all year round(not in patent though)?? i feel for color as a traditionally classic person feels for black but i am trying to purchase less trendy and more longlasting shoes but still lean towards color, anyway just a little indecisive and could use a little guidance
these are like the terrible "old lady" version of the runway shoe which is funky and edgy and alot more wearable. these are just the payless version at a designer price....was that too harsh lol
the black look like someone took a sharpie marker and just started coloring, it doesn't really strike me as a high fashion shoe. maybe without the fading in the wedge it might be a little better but even that's pushing it
yeah these are so hot!! you mentioned that you wanted them now, they're available and are in stock at neimanmarcus.com and they have them also in a cobalt blue but i think the blue is sold out
these are hot and so versatile. i have a question though re: the marni tri-color platform pumps for fall '07--do you think they can be translated to spring? I bought them and although they're trendy, im hoping for the price that they can still be used for spring without being so "outdated", what do you think??
